After the Christmas holidays we can say that winter is almost at its halfway point. In no time we will find ourselves again wearing light clothes and open shoes. The spring / summer 2020 , in terms of trends and must-have, continues to ride the wave of 2019 with leaders of inspiration 80’s and 90’s. The color palette, however, provides some shades, very in contrast with each other, which will be the absolute protagonists of the season. But the real novelty of the season is definitely the return of the tropical fantasy definitely in line with the “summer mood”.
Let’s see together in detail what are the 8 fashion trends of spring / summer 2020.
Let’s start with the colors. White has always been considered the color of summer par excellence, but judging by the fashion shows it would seem that we will also find it during the winter season. This white summer is absolutely yes also for the evening, but above all the total white combination is super approved.
White, however, will have to share the scene with other nuances (decidedly stronger and more gaudy). Neon green, acid green, orange and shocking pink are in fact the predominant colors of the season.
Special mention deserves the Classic Blue , named by Pantone as the color par excellence of 2020. This shade, in fact, is preparing to be the most popular in both day and evening looks. In addition, blue combines very well with white and orange which, as we said above, are two seasonal trends.
Ode to Donatella Versace who, directly from the early 2000s, brought the tropical fantasy back into fashion (complete with J.Lo on the catwalk) to show off with shirts, trousers and light dresses.
Another trend fished from the trunks of the early 2000s is the Bermuda trousers which on the catwalk was proposed as a summer alternative to the classic – and long – trouser suits.
When the notorious shoulder pads return, we are already used to and “re-fallen in love”. The 80s fashion, back in vogue in 2019, seems to continue to maintain its ascendancy. However, the straps for this summer season lose their angularity and become more pompous and balloon-shaped.
Since the 90s we have kept the stretch dresses with minimal, tight and elastic shapes that highlight the silhouette.
Pants, dresses, jackets, boots, sandals, skirts, jumpsuits will have a common denominator: The skin.
